Dear all,
We are getting married on Saturday August 22nd 2026 and we would be so happy if you wanted to celebrate with us!
The wedding will be at the Mairie de Savieres, in the Champagne region of France (~ 2 hours from Paris by car or by train). The ceremony will be in the afternoon, after which we will go back to Quentin’s parents’ house – a short walk away – for food, drinks, and dancing. We are also planning some activities for the day before and on the Sunday morning for anyone who would like to join us for these (see itinerary below).
Please see below for all the important information.

The Plan/Itinerary

Friday 21st of August (optional Flower picking)
For those who wish to join this, will need to arrange your own transport, so this may be easiest for those who have a car.
- 4pm – We will meet outside the Cuillette de Troyes L’Esperance for flower picking (Frm de l’Espérance, 10220, Mesnil-Sellières)
- 6pm – We will head back to Quentin’s parents house (163 Rue des Chavannes, 10600, Savierès) for some drinks and flower arranging – we will be ordering pizzas for anyone who wishes to join and help
- 9pm – we will have a strict curfew so we can all be fresh for the wedding the next day :)
You are welcome to join for either or both parts of the day. We will be creating a notification only Whatsapp group nearer the date to send important information – we will send a poll here to confirm numbers.
Saturday 22nd August (Wedding)
- 2:45pm meet at the Mairie de Savières for the wedding ceremony (Commune de Savieres, 7 Place de la Salle des Fetes, 10600, Savieres, France). For those who are driving, there is plenty of parking.
- ~ 4pm onwards – we will walk back to Quentin’s parents house (163 Rue des Chavannes, 10600, Savierès) for drinks in the garden, followed by dinner and dancing. The walk takes around 10 minutes. There will be street parking nearby for those who prefer to drive.
For those who will come by car but do not want to drive home, there is space for camping behind the house.
For those without a car and who are coming from Troyes, we recommend ‘Taxi Troyens’ (https://taxis-troyens.fr/). They have an app to order taxis and run 24/7. We are looking into whether we can arrange a small bus to run back to Troyes in the evening but cannot guarantee that this will be possible.
Sunday 23rd August (optional brunch)
- From 11am: Brunch will be served at Quentin’s parents house (163 Rue des Chavannes, 10600, Savierès)
- For those that wish to join, we may go swimming in a nearby lake later that afternoon.
The Location
- The address of the Mairie de Savieres (for the ceremony): Commune de Savieres, 7 Place de la Salle des Fetes, 10600, Savieres, France
- Quentin’s parents’ address: 163 Rue des Chavannes, Savieres, France
Accommodation
There are plenty of accommodation options in the local area.
Hotels & Airbnbs – The nearest big city is Troyes (20-minute drive from Savières), where there are plenty of nice hotels. For those who will have a car, there are also many Airbnb’s & gites in the nearby villages.
- The hotel Kyriad Troyes Centre has offered a discount of 15% on standard rooms or family rooms (up to 4 people) + breakfast for guests at our wedding
- If you would like to stay here, you will need to email the hotel to book with them directly, and include in the email that you are ‘reserving for the marriage of Mme Gaule and Mr Bernard’.
- This offer is valid until March 31st 2026 and allows cancellation until the day before.
We also have space for camping in the park behind the house. If you would like to camp please let us know!
We have created a map with some suggestions of places to stay, as well as transport links (more on this below). Please click here or on the image below to access the map. Note – it works better if you access from a computer, rather than a phone.

Transport
Getting to France
- By car – you can cross the channel with your car via Le Shuttle or by ferry. From Calais, it is ~ 3 hours and 40 minutes to Troyes/Savières.
- By train – The Eurostar takes you directly from London to Paris Gare du Nord. Trains to Romilly-sur-Seine, which is the nearest town to Troyes, leave from Gare de L’Est (<10m walk from Gare du Nord).
- Please note – unfortunately, due to works on the rail line, the train unfortunately will not go all the way to Troyes. You can still book to Troyes, but it will stop in Nogent-sur-Seine. There will be a free shuttle bus arranged by SNCF that will run regularly from Nogent to Troyes. This takes ~ 1 hour.
- By aeroplane – The nearest airports are Paris Charles de Gaulle and Paris Orly. We then recommend either renting a car or taking the train from Paris Gare de l’Est.
We have put the nearest transport links on the map above – which you can also access by clicking here.
Getting to the wedding
Savières is in the countryside so having a car is very convenient – although not essential! For those that are able to come by car or rent a car, we would recommend this. Otherwise, we can help with organising taxis for those staying in Troyes.
If you will not be able to drive and would like help with finding a lift/transportation please write to us and we will do our best to help!
Taxis
The company ‘Taxi Troyens’ (https://taxis-troyens.fr/) operates 24/7 in the local area. It is possible to reserve them in advance (online/via their app), or to call them whenever you want to leave the party. Cost for a late night taxi between Savières and Troyes is €60-70 (with space for 4 people).
Things to do in and around Savières
If you want to extend your stay a little, there is no shortage of things to do in and around Savières. We have prepared a page with some information about some of our favourite things to do in the region – you can access it by clicking here.
Other Information
Dress code – Summers tend to be very warm in France so we suggest relaxed suits & light dresses – but evenings can be chilly so you might want to bring a jacket. The party will take place in a garden, so we recommend flat shoes or block heels/wedges!
Gifts – We know that many of you are travelling a long way to celebrate with us, and that means a lot to us! We are not expecting gifts. However, if you would like to give us something small or contribute to our future plans, we would be very grateful. We will have a box for cards at the wedding.
More information – If you have any questions or would like more information on any of the above, please just contact us! We will be creating a whatsapp group for coordination nearer the time for those who would like to join.
We can’t wait to see you there and to celebrate together! Any questions please dont hesitate to get in touch with us!
